Roxanna Montes-Bazaldua

Ms. Bazaldua is returning to Project SMART for the fifth year. She earned a B.A. and M.Ed. from the University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio. A highly qualified teacher with numerous certifications, she is currently an elementary bilingual teacher in the Alamo Heights School District in San Antonio. This year, she was nominated for Bilingual Teacher of the Year awarded by the San Antonio Area Association of Bilingual Educators.

This is Ms. Hinnant’s fourth year with Project SMART. She holds a B.A. from Texas A&M University, a M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction-Reading from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and a M.Ed. in School Administration from Trinity University. A highly qualified teacher, she is currently a Campus Instructional Coordinator with the San Antonio Independent School District.

Ms. Boatwright is returning to Project SMART for her third year. She earned a B.S. from Tarleton State University and an M.A. in Reading from St. Mary’s University. She holds numerous certifications and is highly qualified. Previously an English Language Learner Instructional Specialist, Ms. Boatwright is now a Reading/Dyslexia specialist at Lackland ISD in San Antonio. She is also an adjunct professor at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio and a certified SIOP trainer.

Ms. Rodriguez is also a returning Project SMART teacher. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Oklahoma and holds both elementary and secondary certifications in mathematics and science from the University of Texas at San Antonio. A highly qualified teacher with over 12 years experience, she currently teaches in the Northeast Independent School District in San Antonio.
